The Black & Gold Gala acknolwledge and celebrate some of the brightest area highschool seniors through the awarding of scholarships. The Gala also celebrates those sponsors and donors who make it possible for us to recognizate and award highschool seniors.Â

About IDSEF
The Ira Dorsey Scholarship Endowment Fund, Inc. (IDSEF) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that operates exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, as well as awarding scholarships to graduating high school students.
The IDSEF was founded by the Xi Alpha Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. It was incorporated on June 9, 1994. Since its incorporation, the IDSEF has awarded nearly $300,000 in scholarships to more than 200 students. This level of giving has been made possible through the generosity of IDSEF donors, and the several fundraising events and activities hosted by the IDSEF annually.
